France Huot

Comédienne, clown, créatrice et travailleuse culturelle, France Huot est une artiste bilingue diplômée de l’Université Laurentienne en Arts d’expression. Outre son travail en jeu, elle s’intéresse aussi à la création de nouvelles œuvres théâtrales tant en français qu’en anglais. Passionnée par l’art du clown, elle détient une formation approfondie en art clownesque Pochinko avec John Turner du Manitoulin Conservatory for Creation and Performance/Clown Farm. France fait partie du duo Hoquet/Hiccup qu'elle a cofondé avec sa partenaire artistique Jenny Hazelton. Ensemble, elles travaillent des numéros théâtraux inspirés du clown, de la marionnette, du théâtre d'ombre et du théâtre physique. France est aussi engagée dans de nombreux aspects de la vie artistique, culturelle et communautaire à Sudbury et en Ontario français. Elle anime est gère des événements, des activités de médiation culturelle et des ateliers scolaires et communautaires.

Actor, clown, theatre creator and community arts builder, France Huot is a bilingual artist and graduate of Laurentian University’s Arts d’expression program. When she isn’t performing, she is currently pursuing new theatre creations in French and English. Passionate about the art of clown, she also has a training in Pochinko clowning with John Turner from the Manitoulin Conservatory for Creation and Performance/Clown Farm. With her artistic partner Jenny Hazelton, France has founded Hoquet/Hiccup. Together, they create theatrical numbers inspired by clown, puppetry, shadow puppetry and physical theatre. France is also very active in the arts and culture sector in Sudbury and across the province. She hosts and organizes events, cultural mediation activities, workshops for schools and the community.
